Case study / LuxGift
Luxury gifts. Real products. One platform.
LuxGift lets fans send creators real luxury fashion from a live supplier catalogue. We built the iOS app, the gifting platform behind it, and the supplier and catalogue platform that turns supplier feeds into one catalogue you can shop. The app is now submitted to the App Store.
Gifting for the creator economy.
Luxvers works with luxury fashion suppliers. LuxGift is their consumer product: fans support the creators they follow by gifting real pieces, not tips. We had already built with the Luxvers team, and they brought us in to build the product end to end.
- 01
A creator builds a wishlist from a live luxury catalogue
- 02
A fan buys a piece from it as a gift, openly or anonymously
- 03
The order goes to the supplier, ships to the creator, and the creator earns on it
Every gift is a real order, for a real product, paid with real money.
A gifting app looks simple on the screen. Underneath, it is a marketplace: a catalogue that changes daily, payments, supplier fulfilment and creator earnings, all of which have to stay in step.
- 01
A catalogue that was never one catalogue
Supplier feeds arrive as files with their own colours, sizes and categories. The catalogue platform ingests them on a schedule, normalises colours and sizes into one vocabulary, and indexes every variant so a filter for a size and a colour matches a product you can actually buy.
- 02
Real money across two systems
A gift is paid in LuxGift, but fulfilled by a supplier through the catalogue platform. Payment, a live stock and price check, supplier placement, status tracking and cancellations all have to agree, so every step is idempotent and reconciled by background jobs.
- 03
Earnings creators can trust
Creators earn when a gift lands, not when it is bought. Commission clears after delivery, reversals net out automatically, and payouts go through a reviewed flow with tax forms in place.
